Education Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or professional certification equivalent

Experience Requirement

  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in management accounting or financial management
  • Experience can be completed prior to or within 7 years of passing the CMA exams

Maintaining your CMA certification

Earning your CMA credential is a significant achievement—maintaining it showcases your commitment to continued professional development. CMA holders must complete 30 hours of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) annually, including at least 2 hours in ethics.
