  • Secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree, or global equivalent)
  • Minimum 48 months (4 years) of project management experience OR PMP® certification
  • Minimum 84 months (7 years) of program management experience within the last 15 years

Set B requirements

  • Four-year degree (bachelor’s degree or global equivalent)
  • Minimum 48 months (4 years) of project management experience OR PMP® certification
  • Minimum 48 months (4 years) of program management experience within the last 15 years

Maintaining your PgMP® certification

Earning your PgMP® certification is a significant professional milestone—keeping it active demonstrates your continued commitment to program management excellence. PgMP holders are required to earn 60 professional development units (PDUs) in each 3-year cycle to maintain their certification. Each PDU represents one hour spent on activities like:
